Resistance bands are more effective than dumbbells and machines when you are trying to strengthen your muscles in the manner that you use them for everyday life.  Machines are limited because they only allow people to move in one direction at a time. Resistance bands allow us to move in multiple directions and planes of motion at the same time, allowing us to replicate everday movements.


When you take a body from lying down to standing the biomechanics change...so just because you are strong lying down doesn't mean that your muscles work effectively when you stand up. Think of it this way...if you want to train for a marathon it would be most beneficial if your training consisted of running, not swimming!  We exercise in standing because we need to be strong when we perform activities in standing. You don't need to be strong lying down...your body is completely supported.



The maximum is 6 people per class. This allows our instructor to keep a close watch on all the participants and guide people accordingly. 


You do not need to bring any equipment, mats, etc. to our class. Just wear clothes appropriate for exercise. We have a water cooler in the office.
